We have some fantastic films for the whole family screening currently, lots of fun, drama and action - something for everybody!
This week we welcome the much anticipated ALBERT NOBBS starring Glenn Close.
Albert Nobbs struggles to survive in late 19th century Ireland - where women aren`t encouraged to be independent. Posing as a man so she can work as a butler in Dublin`s most posh hotel - ``Albert`` (Close) meets a handsome painter and looks to escape the lie she has been living.

THE MUPPETS is now showing and is great fun for the littlies only now discovering the fun, or those of us who knew them all 30+ years ago!!
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world�s biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets� former stomping grounds.
To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.
With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, �The Muppets� hits the big screen January 12th!

Very popular, THE DESCENDENTS starring George Clooney is also showing.
Matt King (George Clooney) is the descendant of Hawaiian royalty - and - along with his many cousins - owns a big chunk of highly valued land.
On the eve of a big land deal - in which Matt is the trustee - his wife has a boating accident - that puts her in a coma.
Essentially brain-dead - her living will means that she`s going to be taken off life-support - and before she dies - King wants his two daughters (Shailene Woodley and Amara Miller) to make peace with their mother. However - it turns out that Matt has a peace of his own to make - when he discovers his wife has been carrying on a long-term affair.

IRON LADY (M) is a surprising and intimate portrait of Margaret Thatcher (Meryl Streep), the first and only female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
One of the 20th century's most famous and influential women, Thatcher came from nowhere to smash through barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male dominated world. Also starring Jim Broadbent.

WE BOUGHT A ZOO [PG] a memoir by Benjamin Mee, tells the true account of how the author and his family used their life savings to buy a dilapidated zoo, replete with 200 exotic animals facing destruction, in the English countryside.
Mee, along with his children, had to balance caring for his wife, who was dying of brain cancer, with dealing with escaped tigers, raising endangered animals, working with an eclectic skeleton crew and readying the zoo for a reopening.
Starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson.

WAR HORSE (M) Albert, the teenage son of a poor farmer, falls in love with a beautiful bay foal.
When the horse, now nearly grown, is brought to auction, his father is the top bidder.
Albert is thrilled and names the colt Joey, but his mother is dismayed�her husband's purchase leaves them without enough money to pay the rent.
Albert trains Joey to be a plough horse so that he can earn his keep.
But in 1914, when WWI begins, the army is looking for good horses and his father sells Joey without Albert's knowledge. Albert vows to find Joey one day and bring him home.
Joey is bought by a kind officer, but as a war horse, he experiences the horror of battles in France.
Though he endures many hardships, his courage touches the soldiers around him.

HAPPY FEET 2 /G\ The sequel to the Academy Award�-winning animated smash hit, "Happy Feet 2" returns audiences to the magnificent landscape of Antarctica, reuniting us with the world's most famous tap-dancing penguin, Mumble (Elijah Wood), the love of his life, Gloria (Alecia Moore {Pink} and their old friends Ramon and Lovelace (Robin Williams). Mumble and Gloria now have a son of their own, Erik (EG Daily), who is struggling to find his own particular talents in the Emperor Penguin world.
But new dangers are threatening the penguin nation, and it's going to take everyone working--and dancing--together to save them.

ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS 3 /G\ is now showing.
The vacationing Chipmunks and Chipettes are turning a luxury cruise liner into their personal playground, until they become 'chipwrecked' on a remote island.
As the 'Munks and Chipettes try various schemes to find their way home, they accidentally discover their new turf is not as deserted as it seems.

Next week, the hilarious A FEW BEST MEN [MA] commences in time for the Australia Day weekend.
When English lad David announces he is getting married to an Australian - his hapless mates give a whole new meaning to the phrase `for better or worse`!
The chaos-filled wedding day tests their new marriage - challenges David`s relationships with his three best men - and risks turning what should be the best day of their lives into the worst.
A FEW BEST MEN is a hilarious culture clash between his friends and her family - because blood is thicker than water - and so are David`s mates.
Also starring Olivia Newton John.

Other than to avoid disappointment with availability or seating allocation, it also helps us decide (sometimes at the last minute!) which auditoriums to place the films in day to day, should one film be more popular than another. Also, should there be last minute filmchanges or cancellations, we can tell you so, on the phone.
