HYDE PARK ON HUDSON CHEERFUL WEATHER FO GREAT GATSBY SONG FOR MARION
Latest News!

A big week this week with 3 films commencing - IRON MAN 3, IDENTITY THIEF and OBLIVION!
Session times soon released for THE GREAT GATSBY from May 30th!

IRON MAN 3 in 2d.
Marvel Studios` `Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy`s hands - he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible.
This journey - at every turn - will test his mettle. With his back against the wall - Stark is left to survive by his own devices - relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him.
As he fights his way back - Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Starring Robert Downey Jr. - Gwyneth Paltrow - Don Cheadle - Guy Pearce - Rebecca Hall - Stephanie Szostak - James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley.

IDENTITY THIEF
Unlimited funds have allowed Diana (Melissa McCarthy) to live it up on the outskirts of Miami - where the queen of retail buys whatever strikes her fancy. There`s only one glitch: The ID she`s using to finance these sprees reads `Sandy Bigelow Patterson` ... and it belongs to an accounts rep (Jason Bateman) who lives halfway across the U.S.
With only one week to hunt down the con artist before his world implodes - the real Sandy Bigelow Patterson heads south to confront the woman with an all-access pass to his life.
And as he attempts to bribe , coax and wrangle her the 2 000 miles to Denver - one easy target will discover just how tough it is to get your name back.

OBLIVION Tom Cruise stars in Oblivion - an original and groundbreaking cinematic event from the director of TRON: Legacy and the producer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
On a spectacular future Earth that has evolved beyond recognition - one man`s confrontation with the past will lead him on a journey of redemption and discovery as he battles to save mankind.
Jack Harper (Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs - Jack`s mission is nearly complete.
Living in and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above - his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft.
Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.

CHEERFUL WEATHER FOR THE WEDDING is now showing. On a crisp March morning in 1932 - bride-to-be Dolly (Felicity Jones) is hiding in her bedroom daydreaming of the whimsical summer before - helped along by an ample jug of rum. Long-lost cousins and quirky aunts are arriving to the house every hour - and the downstairs living rooms are buzzing with speculation about the bride`s whereabouts.
Exasperated by her daughter`s absence - Dolly`s scatterbrained mother Hetty (Elizabeth McGovern) is at her wit`s end - scurrying around the house trying to quell the relatives` suspicions. Hetty has perfected all of the day`s arrangements - but her plans can`t prepare everyone for the arrival of Dolly`s unpredictable best friend - Joseph (Luke Treadaway).
Lavish costumes in an expansive English countryside manse define Cheerful Weather`s period - while lighthearted humor paired with a steamy romance and the steady hand of newcomer Donald Rice provide the perfect backdrop for the memorable Felicity Jones (Like Crazy - Hysteria) to shine as the mischievous Dolly. Meanwhile - Downton Abbey matriarch Elizabeth McGovern is fantastic as a very different kind of mother - helming this dysfunctional wedding whose weather and participants seem anything but cheerful.

RUST AND BONE is showing for one more week, so be quick!
From acclaimed director Jacques Audiard - who delivered such powerhouse films including the Oscar-nominated A Prophet - Read My Lips and the eight Cesar-award winning The Beat That My Heart Skipped - comes Rust and Bone. Based on the book of short stories by Canadian author Craig Davidson - Rust and Bone follows Alain (Schoenaerts) a mid-twenties dropout.
Penniless and landed with a 5-year-old son to look after - he goes to stay with his sister in Antibes and starts looking for work. At a nightclub he meets Stephanie (Cotillard) - a killer whale trainer at the local Marineland Water Park. Alain is fascinated by her - but Stephanie isn`t interested in him - until she suffers a tragic accident that leaves her handicapped.
An unusual - physical and codified relationship develops between them. As in Audiard`s previous films - with Rust and Bone he takes two characters in an unlikely relationship - on the margins of society - plagued by their inner demons and obsessions - and delivers a deeply dramatic punch.
Rust and Bone was selected as part of Official Competition at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. French with English subtitles

THE BIG WEDDING is showing for a couple more weeks. With an all-star cast led by Robert De Niro - Katherine Heigl - Diane Keaton - Amanda Seyfried - Topher Grace - with Susan Sarandon and Robin Williams - `The Big Wedding` is an uproarious romantic comedy about a charmingly modern family trying to survive a weekend wedding celebration that has the potential to become a full blown family fiasco.
To the amusement of their adult children and friends - long divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (De Niro and Keaton) are once again forced to play the happy couple for the sake of their adopted son`s wedding after his ultra conservative biological mother unexpectedly decides to fly halfway across the world to attend.
With all of the wedding guests looking on - the Griffins are hilariously forced to confront their past - present and future - and hopefully avoid killing each other in the process.

Also showing, THE COMPANY YOU KEEP. Jim Grant (Robert Redford) is a civil rights lawyer and single father who leads a normal life. Or so he would have you believe. Grant is a former militant and 1970s fugitive wanted for bank robbery and murder. He has been hiding from the FBI for over 30 years - posing as an attorney.
When Grant`s identity is discovered and exposed by an aggressive young reporter (Shia LaBeouf) - Grant begins a cross-country journey - determined to find the one person who can clear his name before the FBI can catch him.

SONG FOR MARION is now showing and has been very popular! Song For Marion stars Terence Stamp as Arthur - a grumpy pensioner who can`t understand why his wife Marion (Vanessa Redgrave) would want to embarrass herself singing silly songs with her unconventional local choir.
But choir director Elizabeth (Gemma Arterton) sees something special in the reluctant Arthur and refuses to give up on him. As she coaxes him out of his shell - Arthur builds a touching and unusual relationship with Elizabeth and realises that it is never too late to change.

GODDESS is in it's final week.
Laura Michelle Kelly- star of Mary Poppins the stage show - Ronan Keating (yes really) and the hilarious Magda Szubanski in a unique musical experience set in Tasmania?
It`s kitsch-tastic! Elspeth (LMK) is a stressed out mum of twin boys whose move to the country - in support of her husband`s (Ronan Keating) eco-warrior career - has lost its sparkle. Bored and lonely she composes songs at her kitchen sink.
Before you can say `cor blimey Mary` - she`s an internet sensation and a bright - shiny future beckons her to Sydney - into the hands of the monstrous Magda Szubanski. But where does that leave her family? From the producers of Priscilla Queen of the Desert - Goddess is an unashamedly kitsch-en-sink musical - featuring whale song and an appearance by Keating`s bare bottom - that will leave you with the biggest smile on your face!

And, PERFORMANCE will also be finishing soon.
Titled in other markets 'A LATE QUARTET' the film is set in contemporary Manhattan and tells the story of four musicians - bound together by their passion for music and a long - faithful collaboration.
The celebrated string quartet struggles to stay together as they mark their 25th anniversary.
When their dignified patriarch and cellist - Peter (Christopher Walken) is diagnosed with a terminal illness - it throws the future of the group into question. His attempt to find a replacement player and organise rehearsals for their upcoming concert bring up unresolved issues and grievances. Daniel (Mark Ivanir) is the first violin.
Robert (Philip Seymour Hoffman) plays second violin - but longs to be the lead. Juliette (Catherine Keener) plays viola and is married to Robert - and steadfastly refused to consider the quartet without Peter. Alliances are forged - egos bruised and passions flare as the dysfunctional family of artists begin to implode.
Can they pull together for one final great performance - of Beethoven`s Opus 131 at Carnegie Hall? Directed by Yaron Zilberman - Performance is a captivating meditation on aging - creativity - sacrifice and artistic dedication - anchored by superb performances and a stirring classical score.

HYDE PARK ON HUDSON is strongly recommended.
In June 1939 - President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Academy Award nominee Bill Murray) and his wife Eleanor (Olivia Williams) host the King and Queen of England (Samuel West and Olivia Colman) for a weekend at the Roosevelt home at Hyde Park on Hudson - in upstate New York the first-ever visit of a reigning English monarch to America. With Britain facing imminent war with Germany - the Royals are desperately looking to FDR for support.
But international affairs must be juggled with the complexities of FDR`s domestic establishment - as wife - mother - and mistresses all conspire to make the royal weekend an unforgettable one. Seen through the eyes of Daisy (Academy Award nominee Laura Linney) - Franklin`s neighbor and intimate - the weekend will produce not only a special relationship between two great nations - but - for Daisy and through her - for us all a deeper understanding of the mysteries of love and friendship.
