Dear Moviegoers,
.

School holidays and Christmas are upon us, and our holiday line - up has begunto be rolled out, starting with HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 /G\ already showing, MADAGASCAR 2 [PG] now showing and BEDTIME STORIES /G\ from Boxing Day!

As I always encourage you to do so, Bookings are strongly recommended for all films. Other than to avoid disappointment with availability or seating allocation, it also helps us decide (sometimes at the last minute!) which auditoriums to place the films in day to day, should one film be more popular than another. If we know to expect you, it can make the world of difference on the day!!

Something to look forward to after Christmas, FOUR HOLIDAYS (M) starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn will start here at Waverley from January 1st. Session times are listed on ourwebsite!

Kate (Reese Witherspoon) and Brad (Vince Vaughn) have been together for three years and each Christmas they travel to an exotic destination to avoid visiting their respective families. This year, they are on their way to Fiji after having lied to their families about the reason for their trip. But all flights out of San Francisco airport are cancelled due to the fog, and Kate and Brad have no excuse not to visit the four homes of their divorced parents to celebrate Four Christmases.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 /G\ is now screening and is very, very popular, especiallynow that most schools have finished for the year, so please be sure to book your seats ahead to avoid disappointment.

The epic drama, AUSTRALIA (M), starring our very own Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman isnow showing, with a star studded supporting cast including Jack Thompson and Bryan Brown.

Almost everyone I've known that has seen the film (myself included) has thoroughly enjoyedthis wonderful film, with frequent thoughts of seeing it again.
A rare and special film will bring applause with the end credits and AUSTRALIA is onethat is receiving such an accolade time and time again.
Please note, the films running time is 165 minutes (just under 3 hours with trailers) !!Be sure to keep the running time in mind when attending midweek day sessions with regard to parking in Pinewood.

Just a note, for those moviegoers who enjoy our selection of art/foreign/subtitled films, please be sure to catch the film in the first week or two, as most titles are unlikely to sustain longer seasons.

We hope that you enjoy the films you choose to see with us here at Waverley Cinema.
Many of you are aware that there are 10 double passes given away weekly from our website. Before entering each week, please help us make our future programming decisions by taking part in various surveys and polls that we will place on the page.

THE CHANGELING

Clint Eastwood directs Angelina Jolie and John Malkovich in a provocative thriller based on actual events: Changeling. In the film, Christine Collins' (Jolie) prayers are met when her kidnapped son is returned. But amidst the frenzy of the photo-op reunion, she realizes this child is not hers. Facing corrupt police and a skeptical public, she desperately hunts for answers, only to be confronted by a truth that will change her forever. Los Angeles, 1928: On a Saturday morning in a working-class suburb, Christine said goodbye to her son, Walter, and left for work. When she came home, she discovered he had vanished. A fruitless search ensues, and months later, a boy claiming to be the nine-year-old is returned. Dazed by the swirl of cops, reporters and her conflicted emotions, Christine allows him to stay overnight. But in her heart, she knows he is not Walter. As she pushes authorities to keep looking, she learns that in Prohibition-era L.A., women don't challenge the system and live to tell their story. Slandered as delusional and unfit, Christine finds an ally in activist Reverend Briegleb (Malkovich), who helps her fight the city to look for her missing boy. Based on the actual incident that rocked California's legal system, "Changeling" tells the shocking tale of a mother's quest to find her son, and those who won't stop until they silence her.

VALKYRIE

The "July 20 Plot" on Hitler's life is one of the most heroic but least known episodes of WWII. Severely wounded in combat, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg returns from Africa to join the German Resistance and help create Operation Valkyrie, the complex plan that will allow a shadow government to replace Hitler's once he is dead. But fate and circumstance conspire to thrust Stauffenberg from one of many in the plot to a double-edged central role. Not only must he lead the coup and seize control of his nation's government... He must kill Hitler himself.

SEVEN POUNDS

Smith plays Ben Thomas, an IRS agent with a fateful secret who embarks on an extraordinary journey of redemption by forever changing the lives of seven strangers. Cast: Will Smith, Woody Harrelson, Rosario Dawson, Madison Pettis, Barry Pepper, Michael Ealy, Steve Tom, Sarah Jane Morris, and Robinne Lee.

BRIDE WARS

Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson go head-to-head in Bride Wars, a romantic comedy that follows two best-friend brides who find they've scheduled their wedding dates on the same day.

MARLEY AND ME

Marley is a yellow lab adopted by John Grogan (Owen Wilson), a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and his wife (Jennifer Aniston). Their idea was to give them a taste of parenthood, but the dog proved to be a hyperactive handful. He wreaks havoc, gets kicked out of obedience school and gets even worse when the children begin to arrive, yet becomes an indispensable part of the family. Adaptation of John Grogan's bestselling memoir about an incorrigible Labrador retriever.

BENJAMIN BUTTON

I was born under unusual circumstances. And so begins Benjamin Button, adapted from the classic 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. A man, like any of us, unable to stop time. We follow his story set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the twenty-first century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Tilda Swinton, Taraji P. Henson, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Julia Ormond, Benjamin Button, is a time traveler’s tale of the people and places he bumps into along the way, the loves he loses and finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.
